The Forgotten Third, Inc. (TFT) is a not-for-profit corporation established in 2021 that works in Houston Harris County underserved communities providing supports and services geared to reduce recidivism, crime, violence and economic disparities. The Forgotten Third Inc. currently provides prevention, intervention, and reentry services to justice involved youth and is seeking to expand its service provision to meet the needs of youth in other geographical underserved communities.
The Forgotten Third, Inc. currently provides a facility based Credible Messenger Mentoring Program to underserved youth in The Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. TFT also provide community base re-entry supports to young adults involved in the Criminal Justice System through its R.E.S.E.T. Program. Lastly, TFT partners with UTHealth/Memorial Hermann Hospital on their Hospital Violence Intervention Program (HVIP).
Our Mission is to reduce crime and violence and provide a second chance to young adults and adults through a comprehensive public health approach.
